Overall experience was good however for a 4* hotel I was expecting better facilities. Rooms and most of the common areas need some coonstruction works. The food was ok.

Up until the last day we had enjoyed our stay. I had a problem on the morning of departure when our pre booked taxi for that morning at 7:30am never showed up until several requests to the reception desk which had one member of staff on and had no word of English after trying to explain that we needed to be at the Girona airport no later that 8:30 to get our flight the reaction was some what relaxed I was told the taxi would be here in 10 minutes this was now 15 minutes after we were expecting the booked taxi to arrive another member of staff turned up again I explained my situation they phoned again and I was told ten minutes. I stated again we are catching a flight.
It was now 8:00am still no taxi two other members of staff now turned up the restaurant manager and a girl with good English but a very abrupt manner and was not one bit helpful and very rude towards us.
We were told that the taxi had came and gone. We were told to wait in the hotel reception.
Eventually at 8:10 the taxi arrived and this trip which lasts 30 mins to the airport was the done in 20mins the taxi driver drove at a dangerous speed and almost killed us on the way to the airport.
To conclude I had stayed in the Mercury 3 star the year before had no problems like this.
If the Royal Sun is advertising as a 4 star they badly need to be tested again.
I never met such a bad display of poor and inconsiderate courtesy and bad customer service towards guests in any hotel I have been in.
I am a customer service manager and if this person was on my team I would fire them without a second thought for the unprofessional manner in which she dealt with our situation.
I am going to complain to the official hotel services about this experience and I will never stay in the Royal Sun.
I would strongly recommend anybody wishing to stay at the Royal Sun to arrange their own travel to and from the airport as the staff just did not care it was not their problem and if I had missed our flight because of this diabolical communication effort I would be taking legal action against the Royal Sun.
