As elsewhere in the hotel, all rooms have a number of pieces of original Icelandic art on display. The bathrooms are also in good condition. The restaurant and bar at this hotel are steeped in tradition and have a wonderful atmosphere redolent of a fine gentlemens' club. The walls are lined with beautiful original paintings by Icelandic artists. This hotel is in a traditional building. The lobby is cosy and homely with a polished granite tiled floor and warm red wool carpets. This wonderful traditional hotel doesn't need to shout about its class and style.
