The rooms are small, but in excellent condition. All are brand new and en-suite, with the bathrooms also being in excellent condition. They are traditionally furnished to provide a warmth and character. An award-winning restaurant serving excellent hotel food at modest prices in cosy surroundings. Dishes are created using fresh local produce and vary from Welsh to International. The restaurant is traditionally furnished. A classical looking Inn, full of character with a rich history. The Inn has Tudor style beams. No real lobby as the hotel entrance is via the pub (which forms part of the hotel) A quaint and homely place to stay in a medieval market town. The rooms are excellent but it would only appeal to certain guests used to this style of accommodation. Perfect for groups looking for a traditional style of accommodation in a small village environment. Good alternative to Chester - and ideally located for leisure travellers looking to explore the beautiful Welsh countryside. (10/07 GW)
